Denholm Good Logistics Limited will be on Stand E104.
For metals and manufacturing businesses, logistics has become about far more than simply moving material from A to B. Rising costs, supply chain disruption, changing trade routes and new regulatory requirements are all putting pressure on businesses to find more resilient and responsive ways of working.
It is a challenge Denholm Good Logistics knows well. With capabilities spanning freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, distribution and supply chain management, the company takes an integrated approach designed around the individual customer rather than a one-size-fits-all logistics model.
“Our primary focus is to power a solution built directly for the client,” says Richard Adams, Head of Transport at Denholm Good Logistics (pictured). “We bring our services together by taking a collaborative approach and acting as an extension of our customers’ supply chain teams.”
That emphasis on partnership is increasingly important as the metals industry prepares for the UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which comes into force in January 2027 and will affect imports including iron, steel and aluminium. Denholm is already helping customers understand their potential exposure, review commodity classifications and prepare for the emissions data and reporting requirements ahead.
Technology is another key part of the proposition. Denholm Good Logistics’ Connect platform gives customers real-time visibility across shipments, orders and supply chain activity, with centralised documentation, exception management and data analytics designed to support faster, more informed decisions.
For Adams, though, technology is most effective when combined with logistics expertise. “Our technology enables us to move beyond simply providing logistics services and instead deliver strategic, value-added solutions,” he says.
At UK Metals Expo 2026, Denholm Good Logistics will be inviting visitors to explore that approach, from individual transport and logistics requirements through to complete end-to-end solutions. Particular attention will be given to alternative containerised supply chains – an increasingly relevant option for companies looking to respond to changing market conditions.
Adams points to a recent example where quota restrictions prompted a customer to explore containerised alternatives to traditional breakbulk imports from other parts of Asia. Denholm Good Logistics developed a new route into Liverpool, followed by co-ordinated shunting and devanning through its Knowsley site and onward delivery to the end user.
The result was a new, viable supply chain flow with control and continuity maintained throughout.
For Adams, that practical, problem-solving approach sums up what visitors can expect from them at the expo: “Whether they are looking for a complete end-to-end logistics solution, want to explore one specific service, or would simply value an informal conversation, advice or guidance on a particular supply chain challenge,” he says, “We welcome anyone and everyone to visit our stand.”
