Mirka UK will be showcasing the benefits of automated processes with the help of its innovative robotics line-up on Stand 5/G144 at Smart Manufacturing Week at the NEC (4th-5th June 2025). The products on display have been designed from the ground up so that businesses can implement automated processes to help make easy work of large volumes of items efficiently and cost-effectively, while ensuring a consistent high-quality finish and a significant reduction in abrasive usage.
The robotics range will be spearheaded by the Mirka® AIOS 353CV. This sanding head has been designed for use across a multitude of applications, including furniture, doors and window manufacturing, where a rectangular sanding solution is needed. In addition, the size of the AIOS’s pad makes it suitable for both flat surfaces and corners, so there is less downtime as there is no need to move the product to a different machine for specific surface areas.
Also on show will be the Mirka® AIOS 130NV, a sanding head that has been developed for spot repair work in the automotive sector. To master confined spaces and detail work, the Mirka® AIROS 150NV is the smallest AIROS sanding head. Its compact design makes it the ideal head for areas that require intricate surface conditioning.
To round out the range on display and showcase the breadth of the robotic line-up is the Mirka® AIROP 312NV, a random orbital polisher with an advanced electric polishing head for robotic use. It features a 77mm pad and provides an alternative to Mirka’s cordless polishers. This tool is also compatible with Mirka’s wide range of polishing pads and compounds, so it means users do not have to change the tool depending on the job. This in turn reduces downtime and increases productivity.
